Our data privacy information
This document applies in particular to telemedical care in patients for the clarification of a possible Corona infection in the so-called self-sampling procedure (also called Corona self-testing procedure) as a nasal swab or spit test by the patient at home.
Use of the TestiFly app by the patient
The TestiFly app can be downloaded from the corresponding app stores. To use the TestiFly app, the patient must be registered and identified. The patient needs a functioning e-mail address to use the app.
Carrying out the Corona Self-Test
Before the patient performs the Corona self-test procedure, we recommend viewing the information on the website testifly.de. Here, the general hygiene measures as well as the test procedure are discussed and shown in detail.
The test results are health data which, as special personal data, are subject to special protection under Article 9 of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) No 2016/679 (GDPR). The collection and processing of this data requires your consent. Your health data will be processed by us exclusively for the following purposes: Carrying out the test; communicating the result to the person tested; fulfilling legal reporting and retention obligations. After collection, your data will be stored within the framework of the legal requirements and deleted after expiry of the retention obligation; if no legal retention obligation arises, your data will be deleted after six months.
By taking the test, you consent to the possible sending of your test result to the e-mail address and, if applicable, your mobile phone number (SMS) that you have registered with us. We inform you that the sending of health data to your e-mail account or to your mobile phone may not be a secure, encrypted way of sending. Your data may also be transmitted for the purpose of tracing infection chains. The recipient of your personal data in this case is the regionally responsible health office.
Please note that the tests are conducted by our medically trained staff through a video consultation platform. The use of video technology is to ensure that you are monitored during the test so that you perform the test correctly and your test result can be validated.
According to the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you have the following rights: If your personal data is processed, you have the right to receive information about the data stored about you (Art. 15 DSGVO). If incorrect personal data is processed, you have the right to have it corrected without delay (Art. 16 GDPR). If the legal requirements are met, you may request erasure or restriction of processing as well as object to processing (Art. 17, 18 and 21 DSGVO). If you have consented to the data processing or if there is a contract for data processing and the data processing is carried out with the help of automated procedures, you may have the right to data portability (Article 20 of the GDPR). You have the right to revoke your declaration of consent under data protection law at any time. The revocation does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation.
